The Palomar Neighborhood is located in the upper northwest portion of the College Park community.  Brothers Abe and Zelig Wise developed it in the 1960’s, so all of the houses are approximately the same vintage.  Many were built in the mid century modern style and have been restored back to their original splendor with the resurgence of popularity of that style.  Some of the houses are located on Lake Fairview, Lake Sarah (which has a canal flowing into Lake Fairview) and the smaller Lake Daniel.  The elementary school (Lake Silver Elementary) and middle school (Lee Middle School) are both “A” school and Edgewater High School is known for it’s science magnet and was recently named a “5-star school” by the Florida Department of Education.
