Lake Formosa is an urban, walking neighborhood of downtown Orlando. Its streets lined with mostly independently owned shops, restaurants, and pubs known as the Ivanhoe village business district. You can walk to the grocery store or ride your bike to downtown in this quaint neighborhood. Public transportation access is great if you do not feel like taking your car. The Sun Rail and LYNX city bus will take you where you want to go. Gaston Edwards Park is located here and nice for picnicking and taking in the lake sights. Local street festivals happen now and then for outside entertainment. Florida Hospital resides in Lake Formosa. Our local museums and theaters including the Mennello Museum, Orlando Science Museum, Orlando Museum of Art, Orlando Repertory theater, and Orlando Shakespeare Theater are located nearby in Loch Haven Park. Lake Formosa is populated with a mix of all age groups and families.
